Hi Mike, MASB S32 (motor anti submarine boat) have a look at my web page http://www.freewebs.com/masb32/ or the MASB section on this forum. Christians model you saw is of this boat. I am going to end up with something similar looking! I wil be taking a mould off my model but am unsure wether it is 'exact' enough to be an acceptable standard for selling as I don't thing the keel is precicely straight and I think one of the frames was set a couple of millimeters too low. Apart from that she is looking inspiring. |

Clive Thanks for the link, things are becoming a little clearer now, before I started reaserching the subject I had no idea that there were show many variants of the boats whos shape I fell in love with 15 years ago. One quick question S32 was orderded as a 70' model but reading the info it seems was supplied as a 63' version, am I right? Are you taking pics of your build? If yes will you post to forum or email? Once again thanks for info Mike

you are right, the admiralty was 'disappointed' with the performance of the 70 footers. I am taking photos of the model but they don't show much, the second layer looks like the first! also I am useing my phone as I have not worked out how to 'downsize' photos to 50k! I'll have a sticking session and a trim up soon and post the photos. |

I see what you say about inspiration, but handy having a swimming pool at home for testing. Clive one more thing are you using plans for S32 or from pics? if plans are they Prichard plans?

oh yes, a lovely boat, lends her lines very well to a motor yacht. (as does the Fairmile B). I am going from a set of plans from Chris at HSL mouldings (as seen on page 1 of this topic, I cant remember who they are by though, I'll have a look tonight. |

My plans are by John Pritchard, they are more like the bottom set with seven frames and a transom. (but with MASB deckhouse)

I am using a set of plans for a 63' ASRL with some hull construcion guidance. They have 5 frames plus the transon. The original ones I bought were 1:24 and I have managed to use a photo copier to enlarge the frames to 1:12 and hope to start cutting the weekend. Do yur plans have any reference numbers? |
