The one moored in Portugal would be teh Samarang formally advertised for sale on this website. The one previously mentioned as being moored in the Thames was for sale but the owner is not now contactable.
Would should have oou own register of ships at risk with locations condition and availability, there are enough of us out there to keep an eye on them. Any thoughts??

Hello Andy.T.    Christian has posted a photo almost exactly the same as mine. I don't want to alarm the present owner but it looks as though a passing vessel may have damaged the starboard side. By the way if you go to the Brixham harbour web camb the Fairmile Western Lady is alongside waiting to go on the grid.

Hi. This is my grandad that owned this boat. I've spent many years since Internet searches existed to track down anything from this boat. Mr Joe Blackwell died in 1987 and it was sold before 1999 to be restored. We still have alot of The original parts from it that if it's still in action I'm sure the current owner would find of interest.last time I saw her she was sinking and in need of repair. My father has fond memories of her from childhood it was bought inn1956. 6 months after my dad was born. Does anyone know of where it currently is and what stste of repair?

Hi John,

Please contact Andrew at Sealand Boat Deliveries as he moved her a few years ago & should be able to help.  He's a lovely chap and one of the best boat transporters around.
Contact details on their web site: -  www.btx.co.uk/sealand.htm

Cheers
Don

John I have sent you a PM. I have owned Caprella since late 2009 with the view of restoring her to as original condition as possible. In the interim I have been going round the country trying to replace the missing items required to get her working mechanically, so far have got prop logs, shafts etc. Would be interested to know what items you have. Also I have a fair idea of much of her history with Sir Harry Ricardo, but not that much from the time that your Grandad owned her.

Hello all,

I wonder if anyone might be able to help, I am trying to find out about Caprella, where she is and how she is getting on. I saw the last post on this thread was a couple of years ago, are there any updates at all?

I sent a PM to the owner - Caprella in the hope it will get through. Can anyone help at all?

Thanks in advance,

Kind Regards,

George
