Hi there,

Just been onto the Zargreus films site, very intersting, the DVD of the restoration of particular interest, in line with what my friend John Lanaghan has done with PR22, different vessel of course and yes German, but.. all part of NATO and the cold war of course. If Paul Childs is interested, PR22 has a still picture DVD of the works, thought might be of interest, PM me if so with an address. Hope the works to GA engines going/gone well, I know I keep dangling this, but..if planning on comming to the Medway, do call Chatham Marina indvance and I hope we can offer a spot, as I said though, would need notice for 70 footers here!

Have seen this DVD of the restoration of the ex-HMS Gay Archer and would certainly recommend it to all those who are involved with or contemplating restoring similar aged vessels - definately worth the buy.

Just watched the DVD on board Velo 2 of the restoration of Gay Archer, I quite agree with Pioneer that it is well worth any one thinking of restoring a wooden coastal forces craft to get hold of, also the interviews with the veterans and footage was very good. I have already mentioned it above I know, but if anyone is interested, there is a DVD of still images of the restoration of Velo 2/PR22 available, I can pass on details to them if any one is interested. As I said, the Gay Archer DVD is very good and hats off to the the team for rescuing this vessel, also to the chap who kept her ticking over so to speak till the major works could be done, without him of course there would have been nothing to save.
