MTB102 has already sailed about 650nmls this year and was privileged to take part in the Coastal Forces Veterans Colours Laying Up Ceremony at HMS Hornet at Gosport. Many of the Vets managed to climb aboard one of "their" craft possibly for the last time. MTB102 looked wonderful alongside her old home. She was the first boat to take up residence at HMS Hornet in early 1940.

Very, very well done.
I, like others no doubt, wish I could have had been there.
Regards

Don

MTB102 is available for "charter" on the 26th and 27th July at Lowestoft air fair if anyone is interested. See the air fair uncluttered by crowds and enjoy the experience of MTB102 at the same time. Email me at mtb102@ukonline.co.uk or phone 01603 782068. It may be possible to repeat the experience on the following two days for the Honda Offshore Powerboat Racing.

For all those lovers of WW2 high speed craft get a copy of the July edition of Britain At War Magazine. Probably available at all good news agents. This edition has a coastal forces theme.

Hi All,

Just returned from an Essex adventure! went along to Brightlingsea to visit MTB102, as ever a great pleasure to see her and the team, many thanks Richard for the sausage role and coffee!, weather could not have been any worse but a good stream of interested people down the pontoon pier to view her, reasonable donations, but best of all well sponsored by local businesss, and hopefully a repeat booking next year. I know I bash on about her, but no apology, her and soon Medusa on stream, we are very lucky to have the oppertunity to see and more importantly to support these craft, they and the dedicated team with them deserve all the support they can get. Talking with Richard and the guys, you realise what a job it is to keep them going.

MTB102 at Oulton Broad Power Boat event. On the 14th and 15th July MTB102 will be at the Lowestoft and Oulton Broad Motor Boat Club to act as Stewards boat during the World OSY Championship and F4 National race event. All lovers of power boats take note. In 70 years time they may be doing the same.

Now confirmed, MTB102 will be the Command Vessel for the Lowestoft Air Fair on the 26th 27th July working with the Coastguard and Police so is not available for charter. Seems 102 attracts this kind of job.
