As I am researching MTB 415 I joined the Coastal Forces Veterans forum to seek data. Having also seen reference to this forum I asked CFV members if I should join this forum. The answer was an emphatic YES, so I joined recently.
I am currently researching the naval career of Cecil Halford who served on MGB 609 for a very short time joining in the summer of 1943 but then spent most of his service on MGB 77 and MTB 415 right up to the end of the war. Cecil hardly ever used his first name and called himself Mick or Mike. If there is anyone who could shed some light on the operations, actions and day-to-day workings of MTB 415 or the 1st MTB Flotilla, it would be appreciated. Rolf Hippman |
