Hello John, I have taken all the photo's of John L's boat ( about 300 ). It is in fact P22 not P29. John L. is certain it is P22 from documents and records. The starbboard engine is being replaced. This boat was based at Schierstein with the U.S. navy Rhine river patrol. To date, I have found about 7 boats still seaworthy. More info here http://www.flusspi.de/html/s-boot.htm

Regards. Dave H

Yes it is the same boat, but it is no longer up for sale.

Hi all,

Just thought I should post, Velo 2 now on hard standing at Chatham Marina, quite an interesting lift but went well in the end, engines, gear boxes and donkey engine had to be removed plus anything not tied down. Apart from pressure wash and re-antifoul, and main reason for lift for insurance survey, John is removing the last doubling along the garboard strakes, quite a job as having to use gas axe as grinding not permitted to avoid dust blowing over boats in the marina. New plate work fitted earlier this year fine, although paint applied completley failing to adhere to the steel, however plate as shiny as day put on, down to grinding marks to try and key the surface, bit odd. Will take a few weeks, but then hull will be A1.
