Anyone know where this photo, link below, was taken and where the boats are now? I don't even know the date of the photo. I am fairly certain they are P1011 Brave Borderer and P1012 Brave Swordsman. Trying to do an accurate (fairly!) 49 1/2" 24th scale model of P1011. I will not be including the sofa!! Thanks, J

I've marked the spot on Google maps on the second map on my survivors page:  https://spitfiresofthesea.com/survivors" rel="nofollow - https://spitfiresofthesea.com/survivors /
You can see them in the overhead aerials and also on streetview from the adjacent road and bridge.

Steve, Looks like a useful site you are building up there. Looks fairly new? Might have missed something but can't see a Perkasa/Brave type there? I'll look closer later. See http://www.rafboats.co.uk/ if you haven't already!! Keep up the good work, thanks, J

Hi John,

You should be able to find them on the second of the two maps. There are two markers over the Low Countries - the lower dot is over Antwerp and marks the site of the two vessels in your photo. You can even see the bushes alongside and the buildings in the background to the south.

You'll need to open a new Google Map page, because you can't do it within the embedded map it seems, but using Street View you can then observe them from the track immediately south east (Slachthuislaan), and from the elevated motorway to the north east. You can also use the 3D function in Google Maps to pan around and view the 3D models of the boats. No sofa though...

Glad you like the site - many thanks! It is quite new so it's still growing. I've seen rafboats.co.uk before - is it yours?

Hi Steve,
I managed to find the markers and maps, thanks. A good enough view from the main road on Google maps.
The sofa is on the original photo in the link in my original post.
The rafboats site is not mine - I just found it while researching boats that visited in Cornwall as a child on holiday and to make models of them. Nostalgia and all that.
John.

At the breakers a while ago. Both the boats have been recycled.
