The Rsl has always been a favourite of mine when I was stationed at 1110 MU immingham Dock we took delivery of two and thought how strongly they were constructed.Real "Belt and Braces"stuff. The only compaints at the time was that the bilges were always awash with engine oil from leaky gaskets on the RR engines. When one of these craft appeared in Hythe Marina embedded in the shingle next to the road For show only . I learned that it had been purchased for 1500. I offered 2000 to take it away for restoration and personal use. But sadly, I was turned down

Hello, my name is john. I saw your post about RSL's. I was on holiday in the west of ireland in august and came upon one in Newport county Mayo. It's been out of the water for at least 2 years and i think it could be restored. You can contact me at jphargan@yahoo.com

Hello Bill,
Couple of things;

- Can you tell me what the 'C' number signifies? I'm researching RSL 1654 but I've come across some photos of her with C20 on the stern transom.

- I've started a website about 1654 and I'll post a separate item in the forum but thought you might be interested. Hoping to do a restoration. She'll never float again, I'm pretty sure of that, but need to inspect her. For an idea of what I want to do go to http://rsl1654.weebly.com http://rsl1654.weebly.com - http://rsl1654.weebly.com

Cheers
Dave Rose
