Hi Mark, Weekend visits are possible. I'm usually at the yard sometime over the weekend and can arrange to be there at a time to suit you. Also I'm sure the Wizard will do the same. Richard. |

The mahogany is not re-cycled, it was up until last week a log which has been cut to our requirements, most of the boards are over 24" wide and 27' 6" long. This is the most economical way of buying timber as long as you know what thickness you want and how much you require. No problem with a visit in November not sure what you will find us doing then but sure we can entertain you for a few hours and then a beer.

Yes I was going to ask if the beer was free So I guess following normal "Custom and Practice" the owner of the boat gets the beers in for his guests! Cheers Clive see you there!

Thanks for answering my question re timber, so I guess there are a few logs of timber around, recall 20 years ago when Chatham Dockyard shut dow, my school received some fantastic pieces of timber from there, though I heard huge amounts were simply burned!, if people are gathering on the 10th, I could make that as off work, please PM me, see the works on the site of course but would be interesting to see up close, but I am sure a lot would have been done by then!.
