Does anyone have any information on this painting? It was supposed to be a calendar for elco around 1916. Maybe it was a catalog cover, too. Have you ever seen it reproduced and where? The artist is William Harnden Foster (1886 - 1941) see http://www.askart.com/askart/artist.aspx?artist=108272Thanks

There's a great site providing extensive coverage of this type at: http://www.subchaser.org Comprehensive material on the 80' ELCO motor launches of WWI can be found at: http://www.motorlaunchpatrol.net Thanks for the replies so far. I have been in contact with the links above but so far they have not seen where the painting was reproduced. Hopefully, someone will have seen it. |
