Hi all, John from the Velo 2 Rhine river boat just got back from working on a vessel at Sovereign Harbour at Eastbourne and saw an grey naval vessel with forward gun there, dose any one know what it is? suggested was Gay Archer but thought she was still at Watchet? appreciate she is a private vessel and may not want here where abouts known I guess, but any one with an idea if not GA what she might be?

No-one picked up on this one? How about a HM Customs cutter, Vigilant for example. In Lowestoft recently with a gun on the fore deck. Need more info like which ensign was she wearing?

Hi MF,
Indeed, could well have been HMRC vessel on duty round there, will ask John when I see him, though believe it was from a distance. Many thanks for responding, how are things with MTB 102? believe next "gig"! is day at Lowestoft? thence GY weekend, need to get along and see the team and her, as ever, urge any way else to and support the great work of you all.

I believe the "gun" on the Custom Cutter fires water at great pressure but it looks like the real thing under the cover, it is P.C. to attempt to drown them rather than shoot them these days.

Hi Wheelspanner/Magic Fingers,
Indeed, we think it could have been the HMRC vessel and the "gun" is a water moniter, spoke with John and he only saw it from a distance, many thanks.
