Hello 'ukstew37' - welcome aboard.
There is a fairly comprehensive article on the 'River' class - click the round Logo (at top left of this page) then select 'Humber' from the drop down menu at 'Select a boat here'
Nice to hear that there is some hard work going on out there.
Regards

Hi there,

Indeed, as you say, very heartening to see such effort for a coastal forces craft! best of luck with it.

Hi ukstew37,
Wow! what a lot of work! would be great to see her in the flesh so to speak, appreciate not easy, don't know how to do it myself, but possible to post pictures here. Great to hear of a river class being saved, only a few about, group from Southampton, Coastal Forces Heritage Trust, have the Garth, but gone very quiet on that front recently sorry to say.

correction to above should be Coastal Motorboat Heritage Trust, CFHT is something different, more about history and archive, though did try and have MGB 60 restored, but was lost in a fire at the yard, origionally due to be static at Duxford, but replaced by MTB 71.

If you have a Rivers class fast launch then the name is probably "Beam" and not Bream. The river Beam is in Essex and flows into the Thames in the Dagenham area.

If it ain't broke don't fix it!
