Hi Phil

I saw Friends Folly on the nhsc site,I thought she was a BPB Co Rivers Class of which there are a few survivors,Humber being one of them, also Avon in Cheshire and Moonstorm (ex-?) in Gibraltar.Hayle was my dad's in the 60s,she ended up as a Customs launch in Tangiers and was abandoned and broken up there.Suggest you contract Philip Simons the coastal forces historian to research her history.

Regards,Christian

thanks christian i new about one called avon that was moored at york or on the trent i think some were. then was sold to some one down south. i now friends folly must be an early one .she matchers the blue print  spot on from the ribs and cross lace bearers and the diesel tank is in its original spot .even the baffals in the tank are the same as the blue print .the diesel tanks were made by serik as friends folly as its original maker and date plate on it.she still as the heren bone front deck and sky light any way thanks christian will try the other fellow to try and research her some more

Hayle in Gib in the 60s.Broken up at Tangiers.

Moonstorm in Gib a few years back. She retains this appearance but spends much of her time half submerged.

Hi Phil

Unfortunately she has not been seaworthy for a number of years and is probably not going to last much longer.I should think whatever engines she has are useless by now.She is ripe to be taken over for restoration, perhaps she could go to the UK with RTTL 2753 ! (see The Trust-Boat Share)

I have always thought that the "River Class" were a very racey looking boat and the side view of Christian's Dad's boat bears this out don't you think/

Certainly a racey Dad, viewed from whichever angle.
