As anyone any information regarding the Vosper type 2 73ft mtb in particular number 523 as I am about to start to build a r/c modle and would like to know some background history to this class. If anyone as any pictures they can e-mail me I would be grateful.

Regards

Daryl

MTB 523 was part of the final orders made by the Admiralty toward the end of WW2. Based upon the earlier Mk 1 Hull but having several detailed changes including a heavier armament fit of the QF 6-pounder gun mounted forward on a powered operated turret (in place of the twin Oerlikon which was moved aft). A much improved radar capability was made with the fitting of the 268U set. An excellent picture of this craft can be seen in volumn 2- "Allied Coastal Forces of World War 2" by John Lambert and Al Ross.
