Hi all,

Some very good news! Western Lady III (Fairmile B RML497) has come home to Torbay having been saved from impounding at Poole and looks like she may now have a more secure future.

Hi Steve,

You were kind enough to contact me direct, and can see you have posted on the forum! as I said, great news indeed her return to Torbay, and I am sure we wish her and the company every success with her back in her home port.

Where is the other Western lady that was sold at the same time?
They were in such greast condition.

Hi,

Western Lady IV (RML526) was sold to a private owner (a member of this forum) who has converted her to an itinerant live-aboard. She now looks very close to original above decks but I believe has been extensively modified below.

Sorry, it just dawned on me that what you actually asked was "where" ...

As far as I know, she's still based at Millbrook on the Tamar.

Regards,
Steve.

Good afternoon , johnk.   We have corresponded before, I am the bloke who collected the Freshwater for Herbert Jennings many years ago. The other week I had a look at one of my old vessels  Pride of the Dart which is now in a hell of a state, also WL No1 out in the mud with some of her starboard side rotted away.  Have a look at mailto:newsdesk@heraldexpress.co.uk - newsdesk@heraldexpress.co.uk   (Bygones) or http://www.thisissouthdevon.co.uk - www.thisissouthdevon.co.uk   tuesday 14Th  pictures of River Lady paying off 1945 and other Fairmiles in war time . If you are unable to open the pictures I can send them to you       Regards    John.A.
