Hi there,
 
Just picked up this post for which many thanks, indeed a very tragic event, I was in Ostend a couple of years ago and saw the memorial. Efforts by N. Armstrong of Canada to try and return MTB 486 to Canada, the last surviving vessel of the Canadian flotillla.
