HI all, Im new to this site but, have discovered through family research, that my grandfather RENNIE HULL was the british telegraphist on this boat with 6 Norwegians. I do know the story that is horrific to say the least. The tragedy is still remembered every year in Norway and there are memorials to the crew. Does anyone here know any more or that would like to know more?

Hello 'soniahull'
I was most pleased to read your post. The Veterans Website has an article: http://cfv.org.uk/article/the-loss-of-mtb-345" rel="nofollow - The loss of MTB 345 that you may have already seen? I have sent you a PM Regards

Hi there,
Just seen this post, what a sad story, but the head perpetrator was duly punished. By chance on facebook, see CMB9, has just been re-launched, a shorter version I think of MTB 345 but from that same WW1 pattern, produced for export but of course requisitioned at the start of the war, great to see this piece of early CCF history alive and well.
