Hi Rob, I have built 2754 (Veron Vosper Kit), 2772e scratch 1/24th and 2757 scratch 1/12th. I am currently undertaking a model of 2758 1/24th in Malta spec for Paul, he actually ownes her now. I have pictures from Hendon and have also copies of the original hull drawrings from Grenwich. I have converted to dxf and pdf . They form the bulkheads and keel and can be rescaled. The Vic Smeed plan whilst good gives general arrangement and is not acurate for 2757. If you want to make in 1/24th scale i am in the proces of having a full set of fittings made commercially available. Deck hatch, french vents, air intake, exhausts, df loop etc. If you go to www.macsmouldings.co.uk you can see them in 1/12th. Whilst my models are not 100% accurate they make ggod viewing and run well. If you want pictures please email me. Regards Simon |

Hi Donald, I am trying to source alternative plans to build a 1:18 scale Vosper 68' similar to the RAF Launch 2757 at the Hendon Museum. I have obtained the Vic Smeed 1:32 plan and after a lot of study it's clear that apart from many innaccuracies in both hull and superstructure, this plan when enlarged will only multiply these errors and lacks the additional frame/sections I need to build accurately at this larger scale. Can I say that your model is superb. I do realise that I am respnding to your post many months later and hope that you can help me in obtaining the builder's plans for this fine craft. My brother flew 1000 hrs on Lightnings at Binbrook in his youth and he recently took me to Hendon and I was amazed when I saw 2757 but dissappointed later to learn that grp model hulls are only available at 1:32. I have built two 49" grp hull Perkasa in the past and although the hulls are a very poor representation of the original these larger model hulls can carry a couple of large gel batteries and achieve planing speeds with some endurance.

Hi there, A plea for help please - I am in the process of building the RTTL2751 and I am in desparate need of some photographs or information about the open bridge on these vessels. I am working from a modified Vic Smead plan - along with an awful lot of photographs (courtesy of Christian) but so far no photographs show any detail of the open bridge.
Yours
aye John

Hi all,.,.im new on here & found this site by chance,,As a boy living around the east london area my dad use to take me to hendon,,we was always lurking around the mighty vosper outside,.,.My dad was into model boats & use to take his to a lake in leytonstone,.call wansted lake,.also i remember going to victoria park in hackney to watch the model boats in one of the two swimming pools there.,They use to have a straight running contest which is where we first see two RTTL"s,.both sisters.,one being 2755 the other being either 2754 or 2756,These were 68" long,.,both had cycle master engines with a green water jacket around the barrel,.I remember him wanting one of them....
After some time 2755 turned up at wansted lake fitted out with two channel Mc gregga push button system,,.Anyway i was two young to remember what deal was done but 2755 became ours! ,.,..,this was back in the mid 1970s.,,.,.I still have it to this day,.still running the cycle master,.,.when times were hard around 5 yrs ago i put it on ebay but after one day pulled it off as i just coudnt sell it,.I also remember him wanting the HSL hants & dorset from the film the sea shall not have them & locating the bloke that made the hull for 2755,.a guy called eric allen in harlow essex,.anyway the build didnt happen & the new hull was sold to a frend how built a replica of the hendon RTTL2757.,It had a jap engine but was never up to the job & with 2755 now looking worse for wear 57 was re-engined with the cycle master from 2755.,,.i will post pics during the week of them both,.,.DOES anyone remember the straight running days over victoria park,.or does anyone know what happend to the sister of 2755.,,.?
