   Sad to report that Ted Childs has crossed the Bar.
Formerly serving in the RN as an ERA, he was a skilled engineer employed at one time after his demob, by Messrs Vauxhall Motors Ltd.
Ted was the proud Uncle of Paul Childs (owner of the ex-HMS Gay Archer) and also a very skilful modeller. He will be remembered as an enthusiastic member of the London Branch CFVA (3419), having served during the final years of the RN's specialist branch - Coastal Forces - during the mid-1950's based at HMS Hornet.

Rest in Peace Ted
