Hi Don

The choice of two is either W.Lady III or IV.I wonder why W.Lady is not also up for sale(she's been laid-up for a long time).I'd be surprised if they really can manage 12 kts with 2 Gardner 6LX's!(Dad's RML had 2 GM 180hp motors and just about managed 9 kts on a flat day with a clean bottom).I do hope they go to a good home,they are very well priced.

Re question of speed,if they are running 3:1 reduction boxes apparently 12 knots IS attainable.Efficient hull form eh!

Hi,

regarding the Western Lady former RML's of Torbay. I am trying to contact as many interested parties as possible with the view to forming a preservation society (or similar). This is probably the only hope we have to preserve the last 3 (yes there is a third one) Fairmile B's in existance in the UK that remain almost un-altered from the original RML state. It would be a terrible shame if these well-known and loved boats were sold and converted to the extent that they are effectively lost forever.
