Thought i'd start this so people could ask for plans for thier own boats. Or post them if they have any kicking around. I'll put up the first requests. 1. MTB 506, anyone send us a set of plans for this class before i head back? needed to find her shape again when frames done. 2. HDML. May be looking to buy one so handy to have. Hopefully others in time but hands full for a couple weeks at least |

That’s a good idea jimmy, but one small problem. Plans cost money and considering you’re asking people to advertise on the BPB website can I suggest that those people who do buy, sell or advertise, consider making a donation to the BPB trust? |

That sounds fair! Or the bmpt act as a broker & start a tech section for a nominal fee. As we've learned with ambra a set of plans pay for themselves in a very short time when your taking measurements without them so a few quid a set is well worth it!

I don't mean to be a party pooper but plans may be subject to copyright. People like John Lambert make a living out of drawing and selling them so it would be unfair to make copies for free.
Be careful you don't steal somebody else's ricebowl. Edited by dgray |

A very good point made Don - copyright law can be a minefield.

Perhaps it may be more appropriate to just list suitable sources of plans for people to make there own inquiries? Referring to BMPT as the source of course. Can I take this opportunity to point out that we all use this forum as a means of communicating and sharing ideas. Without it, much that we do would not be getting done. (Thinking of the Ambra here) So just out of interest I would like to point out that it would be nice if those of us who feel able to and who have benefited form this forum support it financially! I know some of you do support the BPMT and hope that I have not spoken out of turn. |
