Great footage! Have seen some of it before on (I think?) a Channel 4 programme about Coastal Forces about 2 years ago, with Len Reynolds doing the commentary; its a shame there is no 'central archive ' of all MTB/Coastal Forces/ASR film clips...there must be enough to make a great video/DVD! (I know that the Coastal Forces Heritage Trust are compiling a DVD at the moment, which should be excellent!). There are some amazing clips on 'The British Movietone News' website which I was looking at the other day! There is some excellent footage on there of the Thornycroft 55' and 70', stepped-hull CMBs/MTBs (similar to MTB 331) in the Philippines in WW2, with boats Q112, Q113 and Q115 (?) being torpedoed-up in Luzon. Q112 was skippered by Ramon Alcarez (who died earlier this year) and who gave a talk at the BMPT some time ago (put his name in Google and there are some excellent photos from 'Life' Magazine from WW2 on the site). Also, on the TV recently was the film 'One of our Aircraft is Missing' with some good footage of ASR 126 (and one other?) near the end of the film. Roland Culver was the actor playing the 'skipper' of ASR 126 rescuing downed British pilots from a Wellington, that had managed to evade capture and get to a German floating 'rescue pod' anchored off the coast of Holland. (Roland Culver also played the 'baddie Major' smuggler in 'The Ship that Died of Shame' for the film buffs amongst you!
