i`ve been a member for a couple of months now but never posted,I`m a keen modeller with aprox 3 builds and a few refits under my belt, as a new turn i`ve decided to build MTB 385 in 1/24 th scale, so please bare with me as i may be looking for more info other than the three sets of plans and one of john lamberts books. wont be much building being done just now as the good old scottish weather makes working in the garage almost unbearable.however i`ll post pics as i go along.
cheers guys

Hi Adzam Is it the Deans Marine kit? If so beware the angle of the foredeck gun is wrong on the plan, and the hull needs some mods (when it is splayed out to the correct width the freeboard is reduced too much for'd, the chines and forefoot need filling out a touch and the stem at deck level needs the "rounded-off" effect built in) otherwise it is a nice light hull and gives good performance. Rgds, Christian. |
